The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Engineer to join the technical team. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing a variety of client projects across a broad spectrum of IT technologies. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality solutions, ensuring system reliability, performance, and security, and contributing to the company’s technical expertise.
This is a permanent, senior-level position advertised as "On-Site," with flexibility to work from where you are most effective. You will enjoy autonomy and self-management while being a key contributor to the team and the broader organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and architect IT solutions to meet client requirements.
- Plan and implement infrastructure upgrades and expansions.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and translate them into actionable plans.
- Lead and manage projects, ensuring timely delivery and successful outcomes.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting during project delivery (outside of BAU support).
- Act as an escalation point for Level 3 tasks from the Service Desk or peer-led projects.
- Contribute to organizational knowledge of emerging technologies, including systems management, cloud utilization, security, and automation.
- Assist in project scoping and review processes.
Technical Skills and Knowledge:
The ideal candidate will possess expertise in the following areas:
- Active Directory (Cloud and On-Premises).
- Microsoft 365, Intune (including packaging and security).
- VoIP Telephony.
- Server and Network Administration.
- VPN configuration and troubleshooting.
- Networking: Switching, Routing, and WiFi implementation.
- Security: Authentication and Firewall deployment.
- Familiarity with service delivery tools such as ConnectWise, Autotask, IT Glue, and Datto.
Soft Skills and Experience:
This senior engineer role requires:
- A strong technical background with significant experience in service delivery and MSP operations.
- A proven track record of technical project delivery, including solution sign-offs and documentation.
- Broad exposure to IT hardware, operating systems, and business applications.
- Proficiency in cloud-based services, networking, and mainstream business technologies.
- Experience with Ticketing, RMM, and Documentation systems.
- Professional presentation and excellent communication skills.
- (Optional) Team management experience is advantageous but not essential.
